Contents of a checkout pack

The checkout pack is designed to include all the essential elements for installing a RESTOMAX checkout.

It consists of :

  • A secure router to isolate the cash desk network from the rest of the restaurant, fix the IP addresses and prevent any unwanted changes.
  • A metal base for mounting the tablet with an additional printer slot.
  • The tablet on which the POS application will be installed, with an angled USB cable for neat installation
  • A network printer for printing out bills and preparations, with its own network cable.
  • A box of ticket rolls to equip the restaurant owner.
  • A standard 41 cm cash drawer with key lock.

In addition to the pack, you can of course add extra elements according to the customer's needs.

For a brasserie, one or more production printers are often required to send preparation orders for starters, main courses and desserts directly from the kitchen to the hot or cold zone. The additional printer can also be used for preparation, often for the bar!

Important

  • In our experience, we always recommend installing a router, even if the restaurant owner gives you access to his Internet modem interface. The minimal additional cost is a strategic added value in terms of technical assistance.
  • A network cable will be needed to connect the printers to the router; we advise against the use of WiFi printers, which are always less stable. Be sure to inform the restorer of the importance of running network cables to the different areas where a printer will be needed.
