Using badges on the user time clock

Set up a user to point with a badge

Hello! Today, we will see how to configure a user so that they can check in with a badge instead of entering a PIN code.


What is it for?

  • ✅ Save time when clocking in and out
  • ✅ Enhanced security (no more need to remember PIN codes)
  • ✅ Use personalised cards/badges for each employee


Equipment required

  • A compatible badge reader
  • Badges for users
  • A badge reader configured in the system (installation by technical service)


Step-by-step setup

  1. Go to Settings → User.
  2. Select the relevant user.
  3. In the user file, find the field Enter RFID code.
  4. Assign the badge:
    • By manually entering the number
    • Or by swiping the badge on the badge reader to register it automatically.
  5. Check that a PIN code has been set up (required to activate the badge).
  6. Click Save.


Result

Users will now be able to scan their badge to identify themselves at the checkout without having to enter their PIN code.
