Set up a user to point with a badge
Hello! Today, we will see how to configure a user so that they can check in with a badge instead of entering a PIN code.
What is it for?
- ✅ Save time when clocking in and out
- ✅ Enhanced security (no more need to remember PIN codes)
- ✅ Use personalised cards/badges for each employee
Equipment required
- A compatible badge reader
- Badges for users
- A badge reader configured in the system (installation by technical service)
Step-by-step setup
- Go to Settings → User.
- Select the relevant user.
- In the user file, find the field Enter RFID code.
- Assign the badge:
- By manually entering the number
- Or by swiping the badge on the badge reader to register it automatically.
- Check that a PIN code has been set up (required to activate the badge).
- Click Save.
Result
Users will now be able to scan their badge to identify themselves at the checkout without having to enter their PIN code.
