Proposals are an effective way to boost your revenue and improve customer service.
Would you like an additional sauce with your meat? Would you prefer a different cooking method, or a side dish such as salad or chips?
Would you like your staff to systematically offer a digestif at the end of a meal?
The proposal is designed for this purpose, facilitating the identification of additional articles/suggestions.
Understanding the proposals in your pension fund
Hello, everyone! Today, we're going to look at what a proposal is in the POS system, what it's used for, and how it can improve your sales.
What is a proposal?
A proposal is a group of items that you group together under the same name.
It is then linked to a main article to offer additional choices at the time of sale.
What is it for?
Here are some concrete examples:
- Side dish options
→ Article: Flemish beef stew
→ Suggestion: Choice of starchy foods (chips, croquettes, etc.) - Cooking meat
→ Article: Entrecôte
→ Suggestion: Cooking (rare, medium rare, medium, well done, etc.) - Creation of a customised dish
→ Item: Personalised salad
→ Suggestion: Choice of base + vegetables + protein
The 4 proposal modes
- Single Select
➤ The customer can select one item
Example: Ice cream 1 scoop → choose 1 flavour - Multi Select
➤ The customer can choose several different items
Example: 2 scoops of ice cream → choose 2 flavours - Free Default Quantity
➤ The customer can repeat the same item several times
Example: Ice cream 3 scoops → 2 chocolate + 1 strawberry - Fixed Default Quantity
➤ Choices and quantities are predefined and cannot be changed
Example: Tricolour ice cream → vanilla + chocolate + strawberry
Paid proposals
You can make a proposal payable if the choices increase the final price.
Example: Adding toppings to ice cream
→ Melted chocolate, whipped cream, sprinkles (+€0.30 each)
