Give your tables a name or description
Hello, everyone!
Today, we will learn how to customise your tables in the seating plan by adding a permanent name or a temporary description.
Add a permanent name to a table
- Go to Settings → Room layout.
- Click on the table you want to edit.
- In the Default table name field, enter the desired name
(e.g., VIP, Boss, Round table). - Click Save.
✅ Result :
The table retains its number (e.g. Table 10), but will also display its name (e.g. Table 10 – VIP).
Add a temporary description during service
- On your room layout, select the table currently in use.
- Click on the pencil icon ✏️.
- Type a temporary description (e.g., David).
- Mark the items consumed, then put the table on hold.
✅ Result :
The description is visible throughout the entire service and then disappears automatically once the table is closed.
Good to know
- The names and descriptions are visible on the customer tickets.
- ✍️ Be careful what you write, as this information is shared with the customer.
