Create a free payment method

Hello, everyone!

Today, we will see how to configure a free payment method in your POS system — such as paper meal vouchers.

Why create a free payment?

This allows you to:

• Customise your payment methods (e.g. paper cheques, gift vouchers, meal vouchers, etc.)
• Display them in the cash register area, next to standard payments (cash, card, etc.).

⚠️ Do not create duplicates for payments that have already been integrated as cash or credit card: these are managed by the system.

Configuration steps

1. Access settings
   • Settings menu → select Free payment
2. Add a new payment
   • Click on Add
3. Fill in the information
   • Name: e.g. Paper meal voucher
   • Optional translations: Dutch, English
   • Position: choose its location in the list (above/below cash, card, etc.)
   • Deferred payment (optional):
     • Tick this box if payment is deferred (e.g. to be paid later by invoice).
     • The ticket will then display ‘to be paid’ instead of ‘paid’.
4. Save
   • Click Save to finalise the creation.

Result

Your new payment method will appear directly on the payment screen, ready to use!
