Configure a Yomani terminal

Configuration on the cash register:

  1. Set the IP address of your cash register according to network standards (172.29.29.101 if there is only one cash register).
  2. Go to the cash register settings in the POS area.
  3. Go to the payment terminal configuration option and select ‘Yomani’ as the terminal type.
  4. Enter port ‘9000’
  5. Save

  

Terminal configuration

Prerequisites: Ensure that the terminal is connected to the same network as the cash register.

  • Go to the terminal and press the keys in quick succession: STOP > OK > MENU

  • Select ‘3’ ‘CONFIG TERMINAL’.

  • Select <10 – NEXT>

  • Select <9 – TECHNICAL SUPPORT>.

  • Enter 1235789 in [TECHNICAL ACCESS] and press <OK>.

  • Select <4 – HARDWARE SETTINGS>.

  • Select <2 – ECR PROTOCOL>.

  • Press <CHANGE> and select the ‘CTEP’ option, then press ‘OK’.

  • Do not touch the other options that follow and just click ‘OK’ – ‘OK’ to proceed and return to the settings selection.
  • Press <9. CASH REGISTER SETUP>.

  • Press <EDIT> and select the ‘TCP/IP’ option, then press ‘OK’.

  • Leave the ‘TCP CONFIGURATION CLIENT’ field blank and press ‘OK’.

 

  • Enter the IP address of your cash register in four steps. Here, enter 172 and press ‘OK’.

  • Enter 29 and press ‘OK’.

  • Enter 29 and press ‘OK’.

  • Enter 101 if this is the IP address of your cash register and press ‘OK’.

  • Do not enter anything in the fifth field labelled ‘HOST NAME’; proceed by clicking ‘OK’.

  • Do not enter anything in ‘NETWORK DOMAIN NAME’, press ‘OK’ to continue.

  • Check that the port is 900. If it is, press ‘OK’. 
    Please note that on newer models, you must enter port 9000.

  • Press <NO> for [PROTOCOL ECR – SSL]. (It must be set to NO).

  • Press <STOP> several times quickly to exit the menu; the terminal will restart automatically.

  • Once the configuration has been completed on the terminal and on the cash register, restart the app and if it still does not work, restart the payment terminal.

If it still does not work, please check your configuration, network, and cabling.

If the terminal indicates that it is reading the card, perform a test.
