Cashless payment is very popular at festivals but can also be used at your establishment during events!
It allows you to load an amount onto one or more cards linked to a customer account (or a business) and then use this amount by consumers without having to manage cash or bank cards. When the amount is used up, you simply top up and you're ready to go again.
We explain how to do this in our tutorial.
Activate and use cashless payment
Hello, everyone!
Today, we will see how to activate and use cashless mode on your cash register.
What is cashless?
Cashless allows your customers to top up a customer account with a fixed amount and then use this balance to pay directly at the checkout, without having to provide a payment method for each transaction.
Enable cashless mode
- From the home page, go to Settings.
- In the left-hand menu, open the Journal tab.
- Scroll down to the Cashless section.
- Enable the option.
- Enter a number of days of validity (e.g. 30 days or unlimited).
- Click Save.
✅ Cashless mode is now active in your system.
Top up and use cashless payment
1. Select the customer account
- Example: M. Berger-Andy
- Check whether cashless payment is enabled in their profile.
- Otherwise, click Edit, enable Cashless at the bottom, then Save.
2. Top up an amount
- Click on the customer → then on Other actions.
- In the pop-up window, enter the amount you wish to top up (ex. 50 €).
- Click on Reload.
- Select the payment method (e.g. cash on arrival).
🎫 The amount is paid and added to the customer's account.
3. Check your balance
- Return to the customer's file → their cashless balance is displayed (e.g. £50).
4. Use cashless payment to settle a sale
- Point the items as normal.
- When paying, select Use cashless.
- The amount is automatically debited from the customer's balance.
Result
Customers can make purchases without having to pay each time. Everything is managed via their cashless balance.
