Create a ‘multi-select’ proposal

Would you like to offer several side dishes to accompany your main course?

A meat dish with chips, potatoes, rice or pasta of your choice is available via the multi-select option.

This tutorial explains how to configure a proposal in multi-select mode.

Create a proposal in Multi Select mode from the checkout

Hello, everyone! Today, we're going to learn how to create a proposal in Multi Select mode on your cash register.

What is a Multi Select proposal?

This is a group of items linked to another, allowing you to select multiple choices at the time of sale.

👉 Example: for two scoops of ice cream, you can choose two flavours (from chocolate, strawberry, vanilla), instead of being limited to just one as in Single Select mode.

Steps to configure the proposal

  1. Access settings
    • Go to Settings → Suggestions
    • Click on Add proposal
  2. Name the proposal
    • Example: Ice cream flavour, 2 scoops
    • Click on the arrow to copy the name in Dutch and English if you do not wish to translate.
  3. Select the type of proposal
    • By default, it is set to Single Select.
    • Change it to Multi Select
  4. Define the minimum and maximum
    • For example: minimum 2 and maximum 2 for a double scoop ice cream
  5. Select display mode
    • Grid: items appear side by side
    • List: items appear one below the other
  6. Add items to the proposal
    • Click on Articles → Add
    • Select the flavours (chocolate, strawberry, vanilla)
    • Confirm and save
  7. Link the proposal to the main article
    • In the article Glace 2 boules, click on Suggestion → Add
    • Select Ice cream flavour 2 scoops
    • Save

Cash register results

When you click on the item ‘Two scoops of ice cream’:

  • A window will open displaying the available fragrances.
  • The customer can select exactly two flavours (e.g. 1 chocolate + 1 strawberry).
  • The display will follow the selected mode (grid or list).

💡 Tip: If certain fragrances require an additional charge, you can enable the Retrieve price option so that they automatically add an extra cost.
