Create buttons in a cash register matrix

Hello! Today, we're going to look at how to create buttons for your items in a matrix on the cash register.

Example: Hot drinks

In this example, we will create buttons for hot drinks items.

I already have a matrix created, but it is empty. Here is how to fill it in.

Steps for creating buttons manually

  1. Go to Settings → Matrix.
  2. Select the relevant matrix (e.g. Hot drinks).
  3. If necessary, adjust the size of the matrix using the Edit Matrix option:
    • Define the number of rows and columns (e.g. 3×3 for 9 locations).
    • 📌 Tip: The more rows/columns you add, the smaller the buttons will be.
  4. Search for items to add (e.g. filter for hot drinks).
  5. For each item:
    • Click on it (it will turn green).
    • Click on the desired location in the matrix → the button is created automatically.
  6. Once all items have been placed, click Save (top left).

Create all buttons with one click (quick mode)

If you have a lot of items to insert, you can use the magic function:

  1. First delete any buttons that have already been placed (if necessary) with Clear matrix.
  2. Filter your items (e.g. hot drinks).
  3. Click on the Magic Wand icon (top right).
  4. Select the investment option:
    • Line by line → buttons are placed from left to right
    • Column by column → buttons are placed from top to bottom

Result: All your filtered items are automatically added to the matrix, ready to be used at checkout.
