Percentage (%) and euro (€) discounts

Feature Objective

The RESTOMAX POS allows applying:

  • a line discount (on one or more items)
  • or a global discount (on the entire receipt)

👉 Discounts can be expressed:

  • as a percentage (%)
  • 🆕 as a fixed amount (€)

🆕 Major enhancement

The values displayed in the discount popup are now configurable from the settings, both for:

  • percentage discounts (%)
  • euro discounts (€)

1) Discount Configuration

Access

Settings → Discount

This screen allows you to define the default discount values available to POS operators.

Percentage Discounts (%)

Percentage discounts already existed, but their values were not customizable.

👉 Enhancement:

It is now possible to freely configure the suggested percentages.

In the Percentage column, you can:

  • add new values (%)
  • remove existing values

Common examples:

  • -5 %
  • -10 %
  • -15 %
  • -25 %
  • -50 %
  • -70 %

🆕 Euro Discounts (€)

Fixed amount discounts (€) are a new feature.

In the Amount (EUR) column, you can:

  • define fixed discounts in euros
  • adapt the amounts to the store’s business practices

Examples:

  • -1,00 €
  • -5,00 €
  • -10,00 €
  • -25,00 €
  • -50,00 €

Configuration Best Practices

  • Limit the number of values to keep the POS interface clear

  • Reserve large discounts for authorized profiles only

A discount reason can be entered (e.g. free).

  • euro discount popup

Result on the Receipt

The discount appears:

  • directly on the affected line
  • with the applied percentage or amount
  • and a recalculated price

3) Global Discount (Payment Screen)

Principle

The global discount applies to the entire receipt, regardless of the number of items.

Applying a Global Discount

  1. The operator goes to the payment screen
  2. Selects General discount
  3. The discount popup opens

Global Discount Popup

As with line discounts, the operator can:
